Dr. Thomas Matthew arrived in Rajasthan
in 1963 with a strong conviction of God’s calling on his
life. He wanted to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the
people of North India. This good news is not just about people’s
spiritual needs but about their physical and social needs as well.
In view of this, Dr. Thomas Matthew was prompted by a desire to
provide affordable, quality English medium education to all sections
of the society. In 1998, St Matthew’s group of schools came
into existence.
In 2003, his daughter Mrs. Glory Matthews Philip became Director
of the school and has over seen the development of her father’s
vision. Since 2003, St.Matthew’s has grown rapidly from
a school with under 150 children delivering education up to VIIIth
standard to a school with over 500 pupils delivering education
up to Xth standard, with CBSE affliation.
